Imagine....outrigger canoes streaking down the Brisbane Water...add sailing boats and leisure craft. On the shoreline festivals have sprung up at Ettalong Beach and Gosford. 13-14 March 2010 – Central Coast Country Music Festival at Memorial Park, The Entrance The festival hosts a variety of talented performers at venues in the Wyong Shire and at outdoors stages in The Entrance Town Centre precinct. The event will host over 70 artists, including Beccy Cole and Adam Harvey, performing across the 30 venues. 8-9 May 2010 – Central Coast 4th Annual Charity Quilt Showat Wyong Race Club, Howarth St, Wyong For a great day out and a chance to see a great range of quilting come along to the Charity Quilt Show. There will be a quilt competition, patchwork supplies, sewing machines and a quilt raffle. Bring Mum on Sunday for Mother’s Day and she will receive a free gift. There will also be demonstrations and workshops carried out on the days. This event is held to raise funds for the Central Coast Cancer Services Fund. 5 April 2010 - Newcastle Herald Hill to Harbour Challenge The 4th Herald Hill to Harbour Challenge will be held on Easter Monday 5 April along the beaches and foreshore of Newcastle, NSW, Australia. This event will be offering the regular 10km running event from Bar Beach to Newcastle Harbour and also the ½ marathon from Newcastle Harbour to Bar Beach and back. There will also be a new 2km kids event called Hunter Orthodontics 2K4Kids. There will be no shortage of things to do in and around the new Race Compound on Shortland Lawns, overlooking the harbour.
