3 July – 5 Lands Walk - The 5 Lands Walk is a community-based cultural, physical and spiritual event based in Gosford City. The walk is not a race, nor an extreme bushwalk – it’s a journey through and with the communities of the Central Coast, experiencing the diverse cultural offerings of the communities and the landscape in which they dwell. Sun 8 Aug – The Wallsend Winter Carnivale celebrates the best of the west and this year it is also celebrating 25 years of fun, families and supporting the local community and businesses. 35,000 people attend this event in one day, packed to the roof (if there was one) of parades, circus acts, rides, dancing, entertainment, stalls, and brass bands! Sat 28 Aug – Sunday 29 Aug – The Our Town Model Show located at the Newcastle Jockey Club, Catham Road, Broadmeadow, is a scale model exhibition featuring award-winning model cars, boats, aircrafts, trains, military vehicles & figurines, wargaming, and lots more. Entry costs $10 for adults, $8 for children/concession and $25 for a family. There is lots of free parking as well as free shuttle buses from Broadmeadow Railway Station leaving hourly.
